A man has been rushed to hospital after a reported disturbance at a pub in Edinburgh prompting cops to launch a probe. ‌

Police raced to the Dog House on Clerk Street at around 10.45pm on August 12 after receiving reports of a disturbance. ‌

A man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment and the extent of his injuries is unknown. ‌

Images from the scene show several police cars outside the city centre venue and an eyewitness said there was a person with blood on their face speaking to officers.

Cops are now carrying out an investigation to establish the full circumstances behind the incident.
