Calls resumed on Monday demanding the province make COVID-19 vaccine available for free and for immunization to be more easily accessible.

In June, the Alberta government announced that most Albertans will have to pay over $100 to be immunized at public health clinics.

In the fall, the COVID-19 vaccine program will roll out in phases, beginning with free vaccine to the highest-risk groups, like seniors in supportive living or those with underlying medical conditions, before gradually expanding to Albertans who will have to pay.
