CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Two men were shot, one fatally, in broad daylight within a block of each other in Cleveland’s West Boulevard neighborhood on Wednesday, Cleveland EMS confirmed.

Cleveland EMS Deputy Commissioner Christopher Chapin said a man in his 30s was found dead on arrival in the 2280 block of West 73rd Street.

A man, who is approximately in his 40s, was found suffering with a gunshot wound less than a block away in the 2200 block of West 73rd Street, Chapin stated.

EMS took that victim to MetroHealth Hospital in serious condition, according to Chapin.

Both incidents were called in just after 1 p.m., Chapin said.

However, it is unknown at this time if the incidents are related.
