CANTON, N.Y. (WWTI) - A Canton man has struck it rich after winning a $10 million jackpot from the New York State Lottery.

The lottery announced that Daniel Durham won a top prize on the New York Lottery’s $10,000,000 Bonus scratch-off game.

Durham opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment totaling $6,467,007, after taxes.

The ticket was purchased at the Stewart’s Shops located at 115 East Main St. in Canton. The winning ticket was purchased in May.

All top prizes on the $10,000,000 Bonus scratch-off have been claimed.

According to the state lottery, school districts in St. Lawrence County received $30,354,530 in Lottery Aid to Education funds during the same period.
