EUGENE, Ore. - Lane County has welcomed Tommy Gong as the new County Clerk, a role he began in July. According to Lane County, Gong is an experienced election administrator dedicated to fostering public trust in elections.

"We are so pleased to bring an experienced elections administrator and a passionate advocate for building public trust in elections to our community," said Lane County Operations Director Lorren Blythe.

Gong succeeds Dena Dawson, who has joined the State of Oregon’s elections team. As County Clerk, Gong will oversee elections, real property recordings, and marriage licenses, among other duties.
