WACO, Texas (KWTX) - The first day back brings a lot of excitement, and for students at Waco High, it also means stepping into a new chapter.

“I grew up around Waco High, and as long as I can remember, I’ve been involved in Waco High,” said Christian Aguilar, a Freshman at Waco High. “I feel like this has always been my home. And even with a new building, nothing has really changed; it’s just a new place.”

While the building may be new, the mission remains the same: supporting students and helping them grow.

“We’re here to help them, support them, encourage them, and motivate them. But more importantly, just to try to make them the most well-rounded individuals that they can be,” said Joseph Alexander, Principal of Waco High School.
