TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WFLA) — The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced the winners of the 2025 Florida Python Challenge™ on Wednesday.
The challenge is a 10-day competition drawing in 934 participants from 30 States, including Canada, to support Everglades conservation.
This year, contenders removed a record 294 invasive Burmese pythons from South Florida. These nonnative species pose a serious threat to native wildlife inhabiting the area.
