LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Two new koalas have arrived at the Louisville Zoo via a special delivery from none other than UPS.
Koalas Chuckels and Myalla were welcomed to the zoo on Wednesday.
Chuckels is a 10-year-old male koala, who the Louisville Zoo says pioneered the koala program in the U.S.
Myalla is a 6-year-old female koala.
Myalla and Chuckels will live at the foot of Glacier Run. The two will join several other Australian animals at the zoo, including the wallaby, emu and cassowary.
UPS logistics experts at helped transport Myalla and Chuckels from the West Coast to Louisville, calling it "Operation Boomerang."
Greenberg called the delivery "very special."
