There are no shortage of action flicks based on India’s military history, but Netflix aims to celebrate the heroes who work in the shadows in their latest Original series.
Saare Jahan Se Accha (“ Better Than the Rest of the World “) centers on two rival national spy agencies: India’s Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW or sometimes just RAW) and Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The story is set in the 1970s, the decade that saw India join the ranks of the world’s nuclear powers. It took two more decades for Pakistan to do the same. The new Original series depicts the covert efforts India took to stall Pakistan’s nuclear ambitions.
The series is produced by Bombay Fables , the production house behind the Netflix Original series Decoupled and the Original film Serious Men
