A Warren County grandmother who has survived breast cancer and a heart attack received a pleasant surprise when she won over $2 million playing an online game from the Pennsylvania Lottery .
Warren County resident Nicole Walter was presented a check for $2,021,096 from the Pennsylvania Lottery on Aug. 13 at the Western Pennsylvania Lottery office in Millcreek at 4802 Pittsburgh Ave. The winnings come after Walter hit the jackpot on the online game Monopoly Progressive Jackpots.
The total amount is the largest internet instant prize won from the Monopoly-themed online Pennsylvania Lottery game, said Victoria Holan, western Pa. regional sales manager for the lottery.
For Walter, the money is not only life-changing but gives her a sense of relief following some recent health battles.
