TANNERSVILLE, Pa. — On a hot summer day, everyone is looking for a way to stay cool. The Pocono Township Fire Company pulled out the engine to help some kids make a splash.

"It's super cold, it feels cold, and it doesn't feel that hot anymore," described 9-year-old Camilo Arroyo.

The kids and their families came out to the fire company near Tannersville for a couple of hours of cool fun with slip 'n slides, water gun fights, and sweet treats.

This is the first time the township has hosted a pop-up event like this, all free of charge.

"It just warms up your heart, doesn't it? Just to see everyone getting together, the community coming out, it's what it is all about," said Danny Arroyo of Reeders.
