LIBERTY -- The town of Liberty is experiencing power outages and cell phone disruptions.
According to the emergency management director of Liberty, Power went out yesterday afternoon and has not been restored.
Residents noticed that land line reception was down, along with cell phone and WiFi disruptions.
“Initially, we were concerned about power outages and the heat advisory, and so fourth. So, we opened up our emergency operation center to make water available, charging stations, cooling, and that kind of thing," says Elise Brown, Emergency Management Director for the town of Liberty.
The volunteer fire department is open for residents who need extra water or medical attention related to the heat.
The community center is being used as a cooling center, and charging station.
