JEFFERSON COUNTY, OH (WTRF) - A Steubenville non-profit that's focused on pregnant women in need for nearly 40 years is expanding its services because of a $1 million state grant.

Aims Women Center provides free ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, and material support to moms.

The organization recently opened a maternity home where up to four women can live during their pregnancy and through the first year of their baby's life.

Residents receive counseling, classes, job training, and case management all designed to help them gain independence.

The grant is part of the Ohio Pregnancy and Parenting Program.
