LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) --Be True Tattoo, a local tattoo shop, is on its way to reopening after being destroyed in June when a car crashed into the shop, injuring a pedestrian and an employee.

The shop is holding a flash day tattoo fundraiser this Saturday at Instant Classic Tattoo to raise funds for the rebuilding process.

"Things can be replaced. People cannot," said Paige Haggerty, a body piercer at Be True Tattoo and Instant Classic Tattoo.

Paige Haggerty was not present at the shop on the day of the crash but expressed gratitude that there were no fatalities. Since the incident, Be True Tattoo has been closed, with employees relocated to its sister shop, Instant Classic Tattoo.
