The professionalization of college sports continues.

In a move first started by other top conferences across the country, the Big 12 will begin providing player availability reports for all football and men's and women's basketball conference games this fall.

Each football program will begin submitting availability reports three days before each conference game with daily updates, including a final update 90 minutes before kickoff. There are five different designations: available, probable, questionable, doubtful and out.

For basketball, teams will update their reports the night before each game and then again 90 minutes before tip-off. On the hardwood, there are only three designations: available, game-time decision and out.
