Former UFC champion B.J. Penn has recently been struggling with legal issues regarding his family, accusing his mother and brothers of being impostors and of murdering his "real" family. Back in June, he was ordered to vacate the home he shares with his mother after a judge in Hawaii extended a temporary restraining order against him.
In the latest update, as reported by local news outlets Hawaii Tribune Herald and KITV 4 Island News , Penn appeared in Hilo Family Court on Aug. 12 as his mother, Lorraine Shin, seeks to extend her restraining order against him for another year.
The 79-year-old Shin testified about a series of alleged incidents, including physical altercations and psychological distress, stemming from Penn's persistent belief that she is an imposter.
