STOCKTON, Calif. —

A hit-and-run crash last month that left a 63-year-old man dead is under investigation, according to the Stockton Police Department.

A 63-year-old man riding his bicycle was hit by a car at 7:30 a.m. July 24 on westbound Eight Mile Road over the Highway 99 overpass, the police department said. The man was taken to a nearby hospital and died from his injuries.

The suspect continued driving west and didn't stop. A witness who stopped to help described the car as a late 2000s gray Honda Civic.
