CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — A 14-year-old boy is facing felony charges after creating a false text thread threatening a shooting at Clay High School on Wednesday, Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook said in a video posted to Facebook.

Cook said the teen concocted the plan because he was mad at his older brother.

The sheriff said the incident began around 7 a.m. when the sheriff's office received a tip that a person was going to bring a gun to Clay High School. Deputies immediately responded to the school to establish a law enforcement presence and placed the school on a "modified" lockdown.

Cook said investigators were able to find the name of the possible person who made the threat, and deputies responded to the individual's home.
