SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - Wednesday’s Agricultural Export Summit, hosted by South Dakota Trade, showcased some of the region’s biggest players in the industry.

Representative Dusty Johnson and Nebraska Representative Adrian Smith, who claim to be two of agriculture’s biggest advocates, touched on a few issues affecting trade and potentially when we can see a new farm bill.

Johnson said Trump’s 1100 page reconciliation bill did a great job of making a farm bill easier to pass, as there will be less to cover. In the Senate, the bill needs 60% of the vote to pass.
