HOLYOKE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - Around 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, the Holyoke Fire Department responded to an attic fire on Orchard Street.
When they arrived, they managed to see smoke billowing from the attic and went inside the building to extinguish the burning. Thankfully, the fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze within 10 minutes of their arrival.
The Orchard Street home sustained damage along it’s second floor and attic, all occupants of the home were evacuated safely and there were no injuries in response to the blaze.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
