SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Wednesday was hot and humid with afternoon highs in the lower and middle 90s. Heat index values were as hot as 110°F at times.

More of this kind of summer heat is in the local forecast for the next several days. We were tracking a few isolated storms in our area with a few becoming strong or severe.

Conditions will be mainly dry overnight with temperatures staying very warm in the mid and upper 70s.

A LOOK AHEAD

Thursday morning will start out with a mix of clouds and sun. Temperatures will heat up quickly due in part to a southerly breeze. Temperatures will be in the lower 90s by lunchtime.

Afternoon highs will top out again in the low to mid 90s. Heat index values will be over 105°F.
