CHICO, Calif. - Animal lovers in Chico have an exciting opportunity to find a new furry friend at the Paws in Paradise Speed Dating Adoption Event.

Organizers say the event will take place on Thursday, August 14, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Butte Humane Society’s Education Center.

Inspired by the hit show Love Island , this unique event will allow attendees to meet adoptable cats and dogs in a speed dating-style setting. Each pet will showcase their personality through tropical attire and personalized boards detailing their quirks and preferences.

For $15 per household, guests can enjoy one-on-one time with each animal, making it a perfect chance to consider adoption or fostering. Same-day adoptions will be available, allowing attendees to potentially leave with a new companion.
