KANSAS CITY, Mo. —
Kansas City, Missouri, leaders and transportation officials are nearing the final hours to get a deal done before bus routes and services could be cut across the metro.

As contract negotiations between the two have continued for months, the KCATA has been operating buses on a line of credit. That line of credit runs out Friday.
"We have not been assured by either body, whether it's the local government or KCATA, why we shouldn't be worried about a full shutdown on Friday," said Mitch Schiller.
On Wednesday, Schiller and others organized a rally calling for local leaders to get a deal done.
