East Lansing — In just two weeks, the Michigan State football team will take the field for a much anticipated second year under Jonathan Smith.
Fans will get their first look at talent the Spartans added from the transfer portal and recruiting trail. They’ll get to see the development of established stars like quarterback Aidan Chiles and wide receiver Nick Marsh. And, they’ll probably be surprised by a few things along the way.
A little over halfway through fall camp — as the beat of marching bands rises through the air and you can just about taste the cold bliss of a Melting Moments ice cream sandwich (one of the few things protected during the Spartans’ stadium menu update, thankfully) — here’s a look at what I think, know and wonder about this Michigan State football team.
