HANNIBAL (WGEM) - Tri-State high school students who worked summer jobs are starting to turn in those name tags as they gear up for a new school year.

That’s definitely the case for a Northeast Missouri summer work program that pairs students with local businesses.

The Learning Opportunities/Qualities Works (LOQW) program provides individuals with disabilities with opportunities within the community, whether that’s work or volunteer experience.

The nonprofit serves 14 Northeast Missouri counties with locations in Hannibal, Shelbina, and Monroe City. The mission is to provide individuals with opportunities to participate meaningfully in their community.
