BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Southern’s top three rushers from last season were Kendric Rhymes, Kobe Dillon and C.J. Russell.
All three guys accounted for 12 of the team’s16 rushing touchdowns in 2024. Fast forward a year later, and neither of those three are still on the team. Rhymes transferred to Tennessee State, Dillon is now at Incarnate Word and Russell is out of eligibility.
The running back room now features a host of new names, including the leader of the position.
After spending the previous three seasons at Prairie View A&M, Marcus Bradley now leads the tailbacks on the Bluff. Bradley says so far in camp none of the Southern rushers have emerged at the top spot.
