SALT LAKE CITY — Firefighters worked to put out a semitruck fire on Interstate 15 early Wednesday in Levan.
Officials from the Levan Fire Department said the semitruck fire caused the grass alongside it to also catch fire around 1:30 a.m.
“ The fire was extinguished and very little roadside grass was burned,” a representative from the fire department said.
“It could have been a lot worse. We would like to thank the Nephi crews for all of the help and keeping E-41 filled with water. And also the UHP Troopers and Juab County deputies for traffic control.”
According to the Levan Fire Department, the semi wasn’t carrying anything hazardous when it caught fire.
