The Marshall County Board of Education adopted its goals for the 2025-26 school year during a regular meeting on Tuesday.

For the board, among those goals is to remain engaged with the community and students.

“The board wants to make sure they understand what is happening in the county with academics,” said Marshall County Schools Superintendent Shelby Haines.

Board members will continue attending school events and athletic games which allows them to talk with both students and parents in person. She said the board also wanted to continue having monthly updates from different department directors during board meetings.
