BBC Breakfast fans fumed "there's no need" as they spotted a "strange" on-air detail during a recent episode.

On Thursday (August 14), presenters Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty took their places on the famous red sofa to deliver the latest news from across Britain and beyond.

Mike Bushell was also present in the studio for the sports bulletin, whilst Carol Kirkwood provided regular weather updates throughout the programme.
