The new owner of the UK's largest indoor water park has released a statement following the tragic death of a young girl last week. ‌

The four-year-old was found unconscious following an incident at Waterworld in Festival Park, Staffordshire, on Monday, August 4. She was resuscitated by paramedics and rushed to hospital in a critical condition, but later died. ‌

Laurent Bruloy, the executive chairman and co-founder of the Looping Group has said the death has left him "deeply saddened". He added his "thoughts and sympathy" were with the youngster's family . ‌

The nature of the incident has not been publicly released, reports the Mirror .
