The day after Rod Stewart , 80, performed for many of his loyal fans in Clarkston, Mich., the singer took to social media to deliver a personal message for everyone in attendance at the show.

On Aug. 13, Stewart shared a message on Instagram that began, "Sincere thanks to all my fans and friends who attended my show last night at Pine Knob," referring to the Pine Knob Music Theatre venue.

He went on, "You were just fabulous, even through the rain! I couldn't have asked for more. God bless all of you, and may you stay 'Forever Young!' - Sir Rod Stewart."
