A Morris County choir is back on North American soil after sharing a special summer journey to Ecuador, where they treated the crowd with a taste of both traditional and popular U.S. songs of faith.

Seizing the moment, the New Jersey ensemble went one step further, moving a multigenerational audience to tears with emotional revivals of some Ecuadorian music that had been all but lost to time.

Fulfilling a dream of one choir member — who longed to forge a musical bond between her adopted United States and her native Ecuador — the group of 29 singers from St. Patrick Church in Chatham and Christ the King Church in Harding embarked on the "journey of a lifetime" in June.
