Years after World War Z 2 was cancelled, it looks like the franchise is getting a reboot or sequel.

If you’re a fan of zombie horror, you’ve more than likely read or heard about World War Z. It’s perhaps one of the most famous books in its genre.

Max Brooks’ novel became a critical and commercial hit, known for its portrayal of fictional interviews set in the aftermath of a war against a zombie plague.

It was made into a film starring Brad Pitt in 2013, which earned $540 million at the Box Office. However, despite the apparent success, it was criticised for deviating quite dramatically from its source material.

Following the release of the film, Paramount intended to turn it into a franchise, with the original plans allegedly involving a trilogy to be released during the 2010s.
