SALEM, Ohio (WKBN)- The Brightside Project has added an extra backpack and school supplies giveaway for some students on Thursday.

Students from the six schools that start before August 21 can pick up free school supplies today, between Noon and 2 p.m. at the Brightside Project in Salem.

Those six districts are Beaver Local, Columbiana, Crestview, Lisbon, Salem, and Sebring.

Children must be present, and you need to show proof of residency to get the backpack and supplies.

Another giveaway will be held on August 21 for students from other districts.
