Wrexham are on the verge of signing striker Nathan Broadhead from Ipswich Town for a club record £10million, talkSPORT understands.
Broadhead, a former Wrexham academy player, has now been given permission to undergo a medical after a deal was struck between the two clubs.
It smashes the Red Dragons' previous transfer record - more than tripling the £3m the club paid to sign Lewis O'Brien from Nottingham Forest earlier this summer.
Broadhead is a Wales international with 14 caps to his name having made his debut in a Euro 2024 qualifier against Croatia in March 2023.
The 27-year-old signed for Ipswich just two months prior to his Wales debut from Everton in a £1.5million deal.
He played a key role in the Tractor Boys’ back-to-back promotions from League One to the Premier League
