A 52-year-old Pahoa man police say possessed more than a pound of methamphetamine when arrested earlier this month is scheduled to be arraigned.

Davin Paul Nohea Kapahua Antonio is to appear at 8 a.m. Aug. 20 before Hilo Circuit Judge Peter Kubota.

After a preliminary hearing on Aug. 8, Hilo District Judge Jeffrey Hawk ruled probable cause exists to try Antonio for first-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, attempted first-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, two counts of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, fourth-degree promotion of a harmful drug and two counts of being a felon in possession of ammunition.
