Strong thunderstorms moving across parts of New Jersey have prompted warnings in several counties Wednesday evening.

Shortly before 4:50 p.m., a severe thunderstorm warning was issued for Hunterdon, Somerset and Warren counties, effective until 5:30 p.m.

Update: At 6:39 p.m., the National Weather Service issued another severe thunderstorm warning for Hudson and Union counties. It is set to expire at 7:15 p.m.
