Throughout the late morning on Aug. 12 at Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin , Bobby Portis Jr. took photos and laughed with volunteers, he talked with staff members who he had gotten to know well over the last four years in working with the organization, giving and receiving hugs and smiles.
He laughed, marveling at how these are people who he has really come to know – and vice versa. They were all on hand to formally announce his position on Feeding America’s board of directors , a duty Portis said he would have taken even if free agency took him out of Milwaukee over the summer.
