Mass Effect fans are not best pleased with Electronic Arts with their mishandling of the franchise, and the latest update regarding the upcoming Mass Effect 5 from BioWare isn’t helping matters.

If you don’t count Mass Effect Legendary Edition, considering it was essentially just a re-release of the original trilogy, it’s been over eight years since Electronic Arts released a new game in the franchise (following the release of Mass Effect: Andromeda back in 2017).

Of course, BioWare is hard at work on a new entry in the Mass Effect series, but their most recent update isn’t exactly putting fans’ minds at ease.
