ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his roommate on Smith Street Thursday morning.

Rochester police arrived at the scene around 6 a.m. and found a 39-year-old man with a stab wound. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injury. He is expected to recover.

Officers arrested a 52-year-old man at the scene and accused him of stabbing the victim. The suspect's name was not revealed, but he is facing a second-degree assault charge.

The circumstances leading up to the stabbing are unclear at this time.
