NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Most-humid conditions are still present in East New Mexico, but also in Southwest New Mexico. East-gap winds are even calmer after yesterday’s fewer storms. Way-above-freezing temperatures are still once again confined to most of the higher peaks of the Northern Mountains with valley floor locations mostly starting off in the upper 40s or in the 50s. Elsewhere is mostly starting off in the high 50s to the lower 70s.

Less-persistent northeasterly winds aloft are shifting to more from the south with a high pressure system over New Mexico now drifting to the east, combining to squeeze out more tropical moisture in the form of more-widespread weak rounds of Monsoonal thunderstorms.
