OCALA, Fla. – A pedestrian was struck and killed Thursday morning in Ocala, police said.

The fatal wreck happened on SW College Road near the Paddock Mall in Ocala.

Ocala police said all eastbound lanes near the 3100 block of SW College Road are closed.

“You may encounter delays for the next few hours as police investigate the crash,” authorities said. “As a precaution, please consider using alternative routes during your travel.”

Details about the crash have not been released.
