PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - The Pueblo Police Department, with help from the U.S. Marshal’s Colorado Violent Offender Task Force, arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting on August 14.

According to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD), officers were called around 3:20 a.m. to the 1600 block of Spruce Street for reports of shots being fired.

When police arrived at the scene, they said a female victim, identified as 47-year-old Andrea Martinez, was found with one gunshot wound. Officers said she died at the scene.

Police have identified the suspect in this case as 20-year-old Alehandro Chacon.

On Thursday evening, PPD said U.S. Marshals found Chacon and took him into custody for first-degree murder after deliberation. Police say he is at the Pueblo County Jail on a $1,000,000 cas
