LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville city and schools officials spoke passionately Wednesday afternoon hours after a woman was shot and killed near a school bus stop.
Mayor Craig Greenberg, who was the target of an assassination attempt in 2022, said he was feeling a range of emotions. He said he was heartbroken for the victim and her family, but also angry.
"I'm angry at the individual who killed this woman today," Greenberg said. "I'm angry at the two people who shot at the same bus stop last week. I'm angry that people still do this in 2025, in our city, at bus stops. And we keep having the same conversations over and over again."
