SHEPHERDSVILLE — Kentucky Republican U.S. Rep. James Comer said that while he supports President Donald Trump’s crime-fighting moves in Washington, D.C., he hopes similar efforts will not be replicated in Kentucky.

Trump mobilized National Guard troops and asserted control of police in the nation’s capital on Monday under what he declared a “crime emergency.” He also warned he may pursue similar action in other Democratic-led cities.
