When Dr. Fred Rothstein’s wife, Jackie, was asked to talk about who her husband of over 50 years was outside of his work as a respected physician who eventually rose to become the president of the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, she and her daughter, Michele, shared a laugh.
“We were both laughing because he worked,” Jackie Rothstein told the Cleveland Jewish News. “He worked and worked and worked. But he was very kind and very loving. He really just was a good, kind and compassionate person.”
Rothstein died on Aug. 6 . He was 74.
