Dense Fog Advisory Issued for WEIS Listening Area Through 10 AM
The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a Dense Fog Advisory for portions of northeast Alabama, including Cherokee, Etowah, Calhoun, and Marshall counties, in effect until 10 a.m. CDT this morning.
Motorists in the area are urged to use caution, as visibility in some spots may be reduced to a quarter mile or less due to thick fog. The reduced visibility could create hazardous driving conditions, especially on rural roads, bridges, and areas near bodies of water.
Drivers are advised to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and allow extra space between vehicles.
