Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will be speaking from a correctional institution in Sanderson, about 45 miles west of Jacksonville, on Thursday, his office announced.
The news conference is expected to cover Florida's mass deportation efforts, as a sign on the podium reads "Florida leads on illegal immigration enforcement."
The governor is expected to be joined at Baker Correctional Institution by newly appointed Lt. Gov. Jay Collins, Florida Division of Emergency Management Director Kevin Guthrie and Adjutant General of Florida Major General John D. Haas.
