Nearly a dozen thieves were arrested after authorities in Florida stopped a 6,000-pound berry heist, officials said.
The Martin County Sheriff's Office announced the 11 arrests on Wednesday.
Authorities said the group of traveling thieves is believed to have been targeting counties across Florida, surveilling private property, ranches and farmland to steal Palmetto berries.
The group entered Martin County but didn't count on Agricultural Unit detectives who were conducting counter-surveillance and waiting for the suspects to strike.
Authorities said the 11 suspects tried to evade capture and resist arrest, leading to "a full-on berry rumble" that required investigators using Tasers.
