Federal immigration agents have detained another New York City public school student at an immigration hearing amid the Trump administration’s crackdown on undocumented people, according to city officials.
Schools Chancellor Melissa Aviles-Ramos said Wednesday in a social media post that the student was taken into custody while attending his immigration hearing. She didn’t identify him or provide further details about his case, but said she was “heartbroken” to share the news.
